This past year the Coppa, Symczak and Dooley Families have suffered 2 tremendous losses - Phyllis Coppa Dooley (George's wife) and Stephen Symczak (George and Phyllis's brother-in-law). Stephen golfed every year in the George Dooley Memorial Golf Outing with his brother and best friends, as well as his 3 sons. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Lisa, and a loving and very involved father to his sons, Stephen, Kevin and Tyler, of whom he was extremely proud! Stephen always had a smile on his face and gave you such a warm greeting, whenever you saw him. He will be terribly missed, not only by his family, but by his friends, coworkers, neighbors, and everyone who had the gift of knowing him. You will forever be in our hearts Stephen!
Phyllis lost the love of her life, George, at a very young age, and with her strength and perseverance raised two incredible children, Brian and Shannon. Her love for these two knew no bounds. She also adored her daughter-in-law, Silvana, and her son-in-law Matt, and her two precious granddaughters, Giuliana and Alessia, were the lights of her life! Her role as MeMa was one she cherished and she could never get enough of them - even though she saw them all the time. Phyllis had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile on her face - even in tough times. You always knew you would have a great time when Phyllis was present. She brought light and joy wherever she went. But now there is a void in our hearts that only Phyllis could fill. To say she will be missed is an understatement. We believe that Phyllis and George are together again in heaven after 26 years apart and that does bring us some comfort. And we know that they are smiling down with such great pride on Brian and Shannon - who now have their own personal angels looking over them every day. We love and miss you Phyllis and George!
